The Society for Landscape Studies has teamed up with Tudor Farming Interpretation Group to look into the history of the landscapes in Tudor times.
The Tudor Farming Intrepation Group are working around the River Dove to complete records of environmental change in the upland fringe landscapes.
A very interesting look into how this particular landscape has developed from prehistoric periods.
Using data from pollen analysis, OSL data, documentary research and landscape surveys.
This type of work is extremely important to understanding how the environment is changing both nationally and locally.
This marries into the Archaeological Research Framework project for the Peak District National Park this year.
